Port of Toronto
PortsToronto is a government business enterprise that proudly owns and operates the Outer Harbour Marina, one of Canada's largest freshwater marinas; Marine Terminal 52, which provide marine transportation, distribution, storage and container services to businesses at the Port of Toronto; and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, which welcomes more than two million passengers each year.
Our mission is to effectively manage our facilities on a self-sustaining basis, allowing us to reinvest funds into transportation infrastructure, marine safety, environmental protection and community programming. Through the successful pursuit of this mission, we play an important city-building role in the economic growth and sustainable future of Toronto.
As a guardian and steward of Toronto’s waterfront resources, we work closely with the broader harbour community to ensure these assets will provide prosperity and enjoyment for future generations.
PortsToronto operates under its mandate, on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. PortsToronto respects that the Crown and the Mississaugas of the Credit signed Treaty 13 which covers the lands of the City of Toronto and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands. Today, Toronto is still home to Indigenous people and we are grateful to have the opportunity to meet and work on this territory.
Our Promise: Express gratitude to Mother Earth and for the resources we are using, and honour all the First Nation, Métis and Inuit people who have been living on the land since time immemorial. PortsToronto consults and engages with the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation on all proposed projects.
